Our school is named for the great English writer and Catholic convert G.K. Chesterton (1874–1936) — eulogized by Pope Pius XI as "a gifted defender of the faith." He exemplified the Catholic faith through a life filled with joy, wonder, and gratitude, and represents the fullness of faith and reason.

House System
Chesterton Academy’s House system is drawn from the 1,000 year-old tradition of Christian education exemplified in the colleges at Oxford and Cambridge.
Houses are named for the four saints (two from the West, two from the East) who support the Chair of Peter in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
Clubs & Activities
In the first years of the Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque, we will be initiating and building upon a variety of clubs and activities.
We will encourage students to seek out a moderator and host their own clubs and activities.
Athletics
Chesterton Academy of Albuquerque offers sports programs. Our growing school relies upon parent volunteers to help lead our school athletic programs.
We will encourage sports at every level and will seek to build upon our initial offerings so that we may provide a strong athletic program.
Pilgrimage
Every other year, Chesterton Academy juniors and seniors have the opportunity for a pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, Italy. They encounter relics from the saints, sing for the Holy Father and see in real life the wonders of the ancient churches in the Eternal City —all while learning about the history of our Church and the Eternal City.
